Dentistry was a natural career choice for me. I enjoy the hands-on, detail oriented qualities of the dental profession and the opportunity to interact with patients to fulfill their treatment goals.
I have a conservative approach to dentistry and strive to create a pleasant experience for every patient. My philosophy promotes patient autonomy to provide treatment that is right for each individual patient. Our intraoral imaging is helpful allowing our patients to fully understand the extent of their treatment needs and develop an appropriate plan of treatment.
I am currently a member of several professional organizations including the American Dental Association, Nevada Dental Association, Southern Nevada Dental Society, and Seattle Study Club. Annually, I attend a variety of dental courses that allow me to keep our practice current.
I grew up in Reno, Nevada, completed high school in the San Francisco Bay Area and received a bachelor’s degree in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from the University of California, Berkeley. While attending Cal, I rowed on a championship crew team that competed at the Henley Royal Regatta.
In 1998, I graduated with honors from the University of the Pacific School of Dentistry in San Francisco.
After graduating from dental school, I worked with my uncle in his dental practice in Indio, California. The following year I began practicing part-time in Las Vegas. The long weekly commute quickly made the dream of becoming a pilot a practical reality. The relative proximity of Las Vegas and the Coachella Valley travelling by plane provided the flexibility in my schedule to help develop the first modern mobile dental practice in Nevada.
In 2001, I joined a group practice with Dr. Mike who was also busy constructing the Siena Dental office in rapidly developing southwest Henderson. Ten years later, I purchased Siena Dental from Dr. Mike who was unable to continue practicing dentistry due to a disability.
Outside of the practice, I enjoy various projects around our home as well as boating on the Colorado River. Recently I finished building a roller coaster in our backyard for our three year old daughter.
I am also a founding board member of the Lake Las Vegas Rowing Club, the first non-profit youth rowing program in the State of Nevada.
